Sunday Funday Giveaway #3

by Julie Hirt

It’s that time again!   Welcome to Sunday Funday giveaway week 3.

Check out those beautiful shot cottons by Kaffe Fassett.  Elizabeth at Cucire was kind enough provide a yard of each in Viridian and Persimmon.

The rich woven colors are perfect for holiday sewing or a quilting project.  Cucire has a gorgeous selection of shot cottons.

If you hurry you can catch her August special: Amy Butler’s Belle fabrics at $8 per yard.   Woot, woot!

The winner also receives a thread sampler from the ever wonderful Aurifil.  Try out 5 thread weights in 5 different colors.

If you’ve never sewn with Aurifil, you are missing out. Missing out on having a lint-free machine!

First time?  I’d start with a large spool of white in 50wt and use it for regular piecing and sewing.  You’ll immediately notice your bobbin goes much further, the thread has a nice feel and your lint build up is minimal.

Cucire carries Aurifil.  Buy a spool and give it a spin! You won’t regret it.
