My entry for the Something Old, Something New Challenge at Quilty Creations.
I have a bunch of vintage sheets so I cut some into 2″ squares and stitched them up. Made and quilted with Aurifil Mako 50 wt in white. Measures 9″ x 5″ standing with 1″ boxed corners.
It’s sitting on an old cotton chenille bedspread my Aunt Arlyn gave me. It was used on her daughters bed 30+ years ago.
Now, onto the good stuff! The winner of the Giveaway is….
Sally from Life in a Sally World. Congrats, Sally! I’ll be sending you an email shortly.
I’ll be hosting more Giveaway’s in the coming weeks.

I was interested to see you using a chenille bed spread , I have been using my Mother’s for 20 years, she probable had it for at least 30 years fefore that. Its still in great shape though I am still aiming to make my own bed quilt soon.

Love seeing what you do with vintage sheets (and chenille!), since I have some, too, and want to do SOMETHING besides store them. Plus, I’ve never used Aurifil, can’t get it around here, so I enjoy seeing what CAN be done with it. I gotta get me some of that! Thanks!
