As soon as I saw Janice at Better Off Thread announce the Countdown to Christmas quilt along, I was in. I had been wanting to make the advent calendar since the first time I saw it.
My Riley Blake charms arrived today, so I matched them up with some solids from my stash and I’m ready to go.
Here is the calendar – those are little pockets!
You can find the pattern here.
Since the kids in this house are teens, I’ll probably give it to my brother and his family since they have 3 little ones. Have a great weekend!

I love this! How do I join up to the QAL? I haven’t done one before. Is it too late?
ps … I did a little “what we did this summer” post to get me going again and added a little giveaway at the end. Hop on over. Have a beautiful weekend Julie.

Cute! An advent calendar is something else I’ve got drawn out in my design book. I should really stop drawing and start working! This should be lovely and a most excellent gift!

I made one years ago and my kids (16 and 21) still like to use it! Have fun making it and I am sure it will become a treasure!
