This patchwork zigzag/chevron quilt was made for a sweet baby girl and hitting the mail tomorrow.
The entire process from piecing to hand binding is enjoyable on a baby sized quilt. Even the basting isn’t bad!
FABRIC:
Front piecing is Kate Spain’s Cuzco collection
Backing & Binding is Hugs & Kisses from Anna Marie Horner’s Loulouthi
Measures 40″ x 40″
I did a free motion stipple because I love the texture it makes. The quilt will get softer and crinklier with each wash.
The quilting was done using Aurifil Maki 50 wt thread in Platinum, I think it’s a nice neutral choice with all of these colors.
My friend Chelsea from Whatcha Makin’ Now took these pictures for me. I think I’ll just take all my quilts over to her house for photo shoots now. Don’t you just love her cabinet filled with vintage Pyrex?

Your quilt is adorable and the pictures are great! I used an adhesive basting spray, for the first time, on a baby quilt I’ve been working on this month. It was much easier than the way I normally baste, but I don’t think I’d use it for a larger quilt.

So sweet. A project that’s enjoyable from beginning to end is such a treat, isn’t it!? I think the backing and binding go great with the Kate Spain, a perfect choice.

What a precious baby quilt and I agree that stippling makes a soft, soft quilt! Your friends cupboard is cute! Thanks for sharing.

I would love to use this pattern for charity quilts that I make for children in wheelchairs.
Where can I get the pattern?
Cheers
