I’m caught up with cutting up the squares for my Countdown to Christmas Advent Calendar. I’m using a Riley Blake charm pack and some solids from my stash.
Decided to use plain white squares for the pocket lining and haven’t picked out fabrics for the numbers yet. Maybe white felt? I just don’t know.
My projects have been a little quiet on the blog, but I promise I’ve been busy! I’ll be sharing a few of those in the coming weeks.
Right now I have an empty design board. It’s strange to see but exciting at the same time. Since there are three quilts on my to-do list so it won’t stay empty for long.
What are you working? Hope you’re having a great weekend!

What about black felt for the number so they really stand out?

Sweet fabrics for the advent calendar!
I must admit to a bit of design-wall envy – what a great space!!

Hm…Sarah’s idea of black felt could be good. Is there any kind of silver felt with a little gliitter to it. That could look fun…if you can stand the risk of glitter getting all over
Have fun filling the design wall.

I love your fabrics and that blue solid is SOOO pretty! I like Jessica’s idea of using a silver sparkle. I think I saw some sparkle felts today at Michaels! I thin white will blend into some of the fabric too much. I did felt, also, and I picked 4 different colors for mine.
It’s looking great!

I’ve also seen iron-on flocked numbers. Those could be fun and no cutting out the number.

I am just dying over your design wall! I need to figure out a furniture arrangement so I have room to put one up. The calendar is going to be so cute. I think the felt sounds nice.
