First time? I’d start with a large spool of white in 50wt and use it for regular piecing and sewing. You’ll immediately notice your bobbin goes much further, the thread has a nice feel and your lint build up is minimal.

Yesterday I made a dust cover for my husband’s keyboard, from some musical print fabric, and I put an applique of some musical notes on top. Nothing too fancy, but he loves it.

Kindle fire sleeves for my son and his girlfriend…I actually had to make them twice. Didn’t follow the “measure twice, cut once” rule and the kindles were 1/2 an inch longer than the bag. Eeek!
